San Francisco, October 16, 2013: Mercer announced today that it has named Joe Farris as Office Leader for its San Francisco office, effective immediately. In this new role, Mr. Farris, a Partner with Mercer, will have responsibility for driving profitable client revenue growth by building and strengthening the company’s client relationships and the company’s overall go-to-market strategy in Northern California.

Mr. Farris brings nearly 20 years of consulting and corporate human resources (HR) experience to this role, having previously served as Market Business Leader for Mercer’s Talent business in the West market. In that role, he was responsible for P&L, people management, and consulting and selling to clients in areas such as talent strategy and management, executive compensation, broad-based rewards and HR operations and technology. Mr. Farris returns to Mercer from Elan Corporation where he served as Senior Vice President of HR.
