Recruitment specialists Head2Head held the last of 2013’s series of Strategic Recruitment Forum events this morning in downtown Toronto.
The invitation-only event, held at the Manulife Headquarters brought together some of the best minds in Canadian recruitment to share ideas, innovations, and discuss the opportunities and challenges that their industry faces.
The morning event presented two prominent local business leaders. Stephani Kingsmill, Manulife’s Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Communications, addressed the audience on Manulife’s business model change, required HR transformation, and the subsequent global recruitment journey.
Ms Kingsmill was followed by Greg Twinney, COO and CFO – Kobo Inc who offered an entertaining and interactive story about the success of a local Canadian company that exploded onto the international market.
Based around the theme of From National to International, the conference attracted around 100 HR and recruitment business leaders and considered Canada’s role in an ever-globalizing recruitment space. Factors like an international talent pool, a company’s reach beyond Canada, and the employer’s international influence were discussed.
