The CSTD Conference is happening in Toronto this week!

Established in 1946, The Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD) is Canada’s professional association focused on learning in the workplace. The association defines the profession’s body of knowledge and code of ethics, develop the competencies of our members by offering a wide variety of events, webinars and resources, and recognize competency through certification.

Here’s a glimpse at Wednesday’s keynote:

In an era of avid sharing and instant global communication, employees expect to have the information and knowledge they need at the moment they need it—“just in time, just enough, and just for me.”- Carla O’Dell, Keynote speaker at the CSTD 2013 Conference and Tradeshow is the author of The New Edge in Knowledge.

To demystify knowledge and how to manage it, Carla will summarize what every executive needs to know about KM.

Carla will engage delegates by using real-life examples from retail, electronics, engineering, utilities, and energy. She will show how the disciplines of learning and knowledge management (KM) can unite to meet this need—in the flow of an employee’s daily work when they are most receptive.

Carla O’Dell is the keynote speaker at 9:00am, and workshop leader at 12:45pm on Wednesday, November 13th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front Street W, Toronto, ON.
