While Americans and Canadians generally believe that having a mentor is important, less than half of the US population (46%) claims to have one.

In HRchat episode 213, we talk about why entrepreneurs and business owners should look towards finding a mentor for guidance through this time of grave uncertainty and distress.

My guests are one of the original “sharks” on the hit TV show Shark Tank, the creator of the infomercial, and pioneer of the As Seen on TV industry, Kevin Harrington, and his mentee, serial entrepreneur Mark Timm.

Kevin and Mark co-wrote the new book Mentor to Millions: Secrets of a Success in Business and Beyond.

“The importance of having a mentor is simple — you are learning a great deal of knowledge (and life experiences) from someone who has already walked the walk, someone who knows a great deal about what you want to learn,” says Harrington.
