A recent report by Health Canada shows that nearly 70 percent of Canadians have had at least one dose of the vaccine, bringing the country very close to the 75-80 percent mark that some public health authorities claim is required to get to herd immunity.
Canada has also reached a major milestone by fully vaccinating 50 percent of its population and overtaking the U.S. COVID-19 vaccination rate. This means businesses are opening back up without the previous fears of having to shut down again when new waves of virus variants hit.
