The Culture Pioneer Report

Celebrating Workplace Culture Trailblazers Across Five Key Categories

HRZone, a leading digital UK HR publication, has just revealed the finalists for its 2024 Culture Pioneer Awards, an initiative that honors companies and leaders driving real, lasting change in workplace culture.

Now in its fifth year, the Culture Pioneer Awards recognize organizations and individuals who have made a meaningful impact on their company cultures. These awards go beyond just highlighting “best workplaces” – they spotlight those who have tackled the challenges of culture transformation head-on. This year, there are five categories: Wellbeing, Inclusion, Learning, Brand, and a new addition, Leadership.

Here’s a look at the 2024 finalists:

  • Wellbeing Award: Correla Ltd, Ingeus UK, Lawline, Pharmacist Support, Travel + Leisure
  • Inclusion Award: Cadent Gas Ltd, Ingeus UK, Travel + Leisure, Victoria and Albert Museum
  • Learning Award: LV=, Nine Feet Tall, Progeny, Travel + Leisure, United Trust Bank, Wales Air Ambulance

  • Leadership Award: Anu Mandapati (Magic Leap), Cheryl Allen (Atos), Rosie Hewat (Kuda Technologies), Yasmine Alani (Media Zoo)

Becky Norman, managing editor of HRZone and co-creator of the Culture Pioneers programme, commented on the passion and determination of this year’s finalists. “These organizations and leaders weren’t just focused on the end result – they embraced the challenges, crafted smart strategies aligned with their business goals, and weren’t afraid to take bold steps along the way. Their hard work paid off, with improvements in areas like employee performance, engagement, retention, and even business growth. It’s truly inspiring to witness these culture journeys.”

This year also marks the introduction of the Leadership Award, which recognizes leaders who put people first and work to create thriving workplace environments. Blaire Palmer, one of the judges and CEO of That People Thing, shared her thoughts on this new category: “The leaders we shortlisted have shown incredible resilience and commitment, navigating the complexities of business while staying focused on building positive workplace cultures. It’s great to finally see a space that celebrates the individuals who are driving this change.”

The winners will be announced at the Culture Pioneers Leadership Forum on November 13, 2024, in central London. The event will feature key discussions and insights from industry leaders and will include a special collaboration with Disrupt London. For those who want to stay informed, more details will be shared soon, and you can subscribe to the Culture Pioneers mailing list for updates.

After the event, HRZone will publish a 2024 Culture Pioneers eBook, highlighting the stories and successes from this year’s finalists.
