What HR Tasks Could You Outsource to a Virtual Assistant?

As your business grows, you will find more tasks that need your attention. At the same time, you may not have the budget to get an internal team to handle all the HR tasks. This is where a virtual assistant comes in.

Most virtual assistants are paid per hour, and you get to reduce the cost of hiring a full-time employee. The virtual assistant will perform tasks that will contribute to the enhanced performance of other workers in the company as they deal with the people working there.

New Staff Recruitment

One of the Human Resource department’s critical tasks is getting new staff. A VA has access to all the company information; they know what needs to be done and who needs to do it. This way, they can identify areas that need other people to work on. They also create job descriptions that are suited for that role and highlight the qualifications that applicants need to have.

When the applications start coming in, the virtual assistant goes through them, and they can even give tests to screen out those, not a good fit.

After that, they can review their online profiles, call their references and conduct initial interviews via telephone or skype before providing you with a list of who they think is best suited for the job.

At this point, they have done a lot of work, and you have been able to focus on other things the whole time.

When a decision has been made on who is to be hired, they get in touch with them and give them information on what happens next. Send them the contract and get them updated in the company’s system.

Engagement and Training

The VA can also engage those applicants who dropped out of the hiring process and find out why. Use the feedback to make the process run smoothly next time and prevent the company from making the same mistakes again. They can also engage employees in the company and find areas that need changes.

After hiring new staff, the VA ensures they receive all the necessary training in how the company works and the system they use and ensures that they are not encountering any challenges.

When some of the training is not conducted in-house, they can be the go-between between the company conducting the training and the employees.

Payroll Duties

Employees can have many issues concerning payroll, starting from reimbursement to tax band information. These duties can be performed by a VA who can also analyze previous data and come up with new predictions on the turnover and the company trends.

How to Find the Right HR Virtual Assistant

Some of the tasks performed by VAs are sensitive; you need to find someone good at their job. When you decide to hire a virtual assistant, you need to have a clear description of the jobs that they will be doing. This will help the people who are applying for the job know if they will be able to do the job or not. In the long run, this will save you time as you do not have to go through applications of people who will not be able to do the job.

You also need to include information on whether you will pay per hour or project. You should also know where you are going to post the job. It can be on the company website or job boards.

Another option you can consider is looking at top virtual assistant companies and telling them what you are looking for, and they will link you to someone on their database who offers those services.

There are many types of virtual assistants; sometimes, you can hire one and later find out they do not offer one of the needed services. This is why you need to provide a clear job description and ensure you mention them again during the interview stages. This way, the chances of you hiring someone not fit for your brand will be minimal.

Technology has influenced how a lot of things in the workplace are done. You do not have to have an in-house employee to handle some of your HR tasks. The internet has made things much easier for such things.
