Editor: Please tell us about your career history up to and including your current role

LS: In my time with Digi-Me, I have facilitated relationships with 19 partners, including the largest recruitment advertising agencies, global recruitment process outsourcers, and staffing firms. Our partners include Alexander Mann Solutions, Oracle and Boxwood Technologies. These partnerships magnify the organization’s reach into the Global Fortune 1000, providing an effective and innovative solution to the largest global employers, including Barclays, USG Corporation, Great Clips and Ricoh USA.

I have lead sales at organizations including large global and national accounts.  One unique aspect of my background is I actually have my Master’s Degree in Public Administration.  My past experience includes overseeing Economic Development for a large Chicago municipality, where I facilitated retail and commercial growth by working with the nation’s largest developers.

Editor: Why did you decide to be a speaker at the TAtech Conference & Expo?

LS: Digi-Me has been a huge supporter of TAtech and we’ve worked with the IAEWS in the past. We have many partners that attend the conferences, so it is a great venue to reach both people in HR that I have met and people that I have not. It’s been a great platform to educate our industry about digital technology in recruitment and how video will be playing a vital role.  We love that Peter and team added an international element to the organization this year as well!

Editor: What will you be speaking about at the TAtech Conference & Expo?

LS: Be Relevant. Be Digital.

Job seekers are changing, so if you want to stay relevant in recruitment, it’s time to change. Let’s face it, text job postings are old and they are costly. Online video consumption has significantly increased, as well as the use of mobile devices. If you want to communicate with today’s digital job seeker and attract today’s top talent, you need a digital strategy, one that is mobile, social, and includes a dynamic video. This session will include real life case studies from large companies that demonstrate how you can cut recruitment costs, increase visibility, and reach passive job seekers with the use of job videos.

Editor: How will your session help promote dialogue and understanding between TA technology companies and their customers?

LS: Video is up and coming in the recruitment space. Since it is still fairly new, there are a lot of components that you might not know upfront. Such as how digital job videos are mobile-enabled, easy to share on social and boost SEO. It helps drive dialogue around how to reach today’s job seeker in a digital world.  There are critical elements to being successful around integration, tracking and maximizing ROI, it is not about just putting a video in and hoping it helps.  We really want to spotlight usable case studies and take always to help both sides drive higher ROI from their postings.

Editor: How does the TAtech Conference & Expo provide you with a platform to talk about Talent, HR and tech in new ways?

LS: There is always something new to learn at the TAtech Conference. It is a great place to meet with colleagues and collaborate on what’s really going on today in recruitment.

Editor: Please share 2 or 3 social media ‘influencers’ in HR and Talent space who you follow and tell us why.

LS: I follow Matt Cherney of Recruiting Daily. He is insightful and cutting edge. He always has an interesting way of talking about what is going on in recruitment today. He says it in a way you wouldn’t hear otherwise.

Jessica Miller-Merrell, she stays on top of the latest industry trends as well as what is impacting hiring organizations on a global scale.

Editor: Can you provide two or three examples of online Talent solutions, which you love and tell us why?

LS: Mobile apply technology – its just where we all need to be!

Oracle’s HCM developments.  They are constantly innovating and offering new, relevant products.

I also love how social media is being leveraged in conjunction with ATS and the job boards. It helps companies maximize views on their job postings when the posting is easy to share, giving companies the capability to go viral with their job postings.  Social is particularly powerful when combined with track-able technologies.

Editor: Which other speakers are you looking forward to meeting at the TAtech Conference & Expo and why?

LS: I am looking forward to meeting with Ethan Bloomfield of the Vitalfew. Ethan is very insightful and always has a ton of great information to offer in the talent acquisition / HR arena.  And Ken Clark the CEO and co-founder of Recruitics.  Recruitics seems to be doing some leading edge things for clients and partners.

Editor: How can your organization shake up  the recruitment space?

LS: Digi-Me is revolutionizing the way organizations find and track top talent.  The entire world is going digital, leading edge employers want to tell the story about their employment brand, their jobs and the ease of their hiring process.  They need to in order to stay competitive.  As the market for talent tightens, attracting people is so important to every businesses bottom line.  Digital job ads not only attract people more efficiently, they integrate with existing software, boards and technology, and they are social!  We find candidates sharing the videos accounts for over 60% of the traffic companies are getting and this leads to more quality applicants.  Trackable, digital ads provide insight on all of sites that are working best providing phenomenal ROI.

Editor: Finally.. if you could be a superhero, which superhero would you be and why?

LS: Catwoman.  She is tough, powerful and witty and looks good while fighting!
